I just felt like runnin' — Forrest Gump.
A message from David:
Some of you may know, but I took up running in 2018 and ran a few races. I've also had the urge for a number of years now to raise money for mental health after losing my granddad to dementia. So in 2019, I have decided to raise awareness of, and money for CAMH initiatives.
CAMH is working to create a better future for anyone living with mental illness and addiction by providing outstanding care, conducting groundbreaking research and breaking down stigma.
So throughout 2019, my initial goal is to run 1,000 km (approx. 621 miles) or the equivalent of running from Toronto, ON to Fredericton, NB. If I run further, great! If I beat my fundraising goal, even better!
I will be running throughout the year, in all seasons, and will only count outdoor running towards the goal (no treadmills, etc.). This will include races (so far 20 planned), park runs, and training.
Please show your support of mental health. All funds will help support the most urgent needs of the hospital. Donate today!
