Several units within CAMH's Social and Epidemiological Research (SER) Department are dedicated to specific areas of importance.

• ​The Centre for Research on Employment & Workplace Health uses an applied research focus to examine mental health in the workplace.
• CAMH's work in international health research includes our WHO/PAHO Collaborating Centre in Addictions and Mental Health and Office of Global Transformative Mental Health.
• The Clinical Epidemiological & Health Services Research Unit, which collaborates with the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), aims to improve clinical practice and policy development.
• The CAMH Centre for Prevention Science, based in CAMH's London research office, advances evidence-based activities for healthy adolescence.
• The Ontario Tobacco Research Unit is an Ontario-based research network that is recognized as a Canadian leader in tobacco control research, monitoring and evaluation, teaching and training.
