Dr. Ravindran’s clinical and research interest is in the area of mood and anxiety disorders. One focus of his research is the behavioural pharmacology of psychotropic agents and their synergy with psychological therapies, and the use of neurobiological approaches (including functional neuroimaging) to examine the aetiological and treatment correlates of these illnesses. Another focus is the influence of psychosocial stressors and the associated neuroendocrine and neuroimmune system changes in the causation and maintenance of depressive and anxiety disorders.
