Access to Information

As of January 1, 2012, all Ontario hospitals are subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. FIPPA gives members of the public the right to request access to CAMH records, other than health records. CAMH supports this increased public accountability and transparency.

  • If you can't find what you are looking for and would like to make an access request, please visit our FIPPA page. You can also contact CAMH’s Information and Privacy Office at 416-535-8501 x 36597.

Privacy and Confidentiality of Your Personal Health Information

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) recognizes that the personal health information of our patient/clients deserves to be treated with respect and that privacy must be protected. Access to the personal health information is available to those who need to know to provide care. Furthermore, when it comes to collecting, using or disclosing your personal health information, we take measures to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the information is protected in accordance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
