Work, Stress and Health Program

The Work Stress and Health (WSH) Program is a non OHIP funded multidisciplinary program that provides comprehensive psychiatric and psychological consultation, assessment and treatment. The WSH mission is to reduce the disability and costs associated with mental health problems in the workplace. The WSH comprehensive assessment includes individual psychiatric and psychological assessments, as well as integrated case formulations and summary reports. The assessment provides a clear diagnostic and functional formulation of a client’s condition and addresses pre-existing and co-existing stressors and/or vulnerabilities; return to work planning and recommendations; compensability and entitlement issues; treatment recommendations and case management considerations.

Committed to an evidence-based approach to treatment, we employ empirically- validated treatments with an emphasis on education, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), pharmacological interventions and physical exercise. The WSH also provides workplace consultation and training in collaboration with employers regarding occupational mental health issues.
