This course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in DBT through supervision of the participants’ own practice.
This program is for health care providers and allied health care professionals interested in enhancing their knowledge of CBT and integrating CBT into their practice settings. The professional affiliations of individuals attending this program include: psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists and nurses.
Completion of DBT introduction and DBT Practice based learning courses
This course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in DBT through supervision of the participants’ own practice. Participants are expected to have access to an appropriate work setting in which it is possible to undertake one day per week of face-to-face DBT practice and access to a DBT caseload of a minimum of two patients.
Increase clinicians' DBT adherence and competence in developing a DBT case conceptualization and effective treatment planning.
Enhance clinicians' implementation of relevant clinical strategies.
Identify and target clinicians' clinically relevant behaviours that may interfere in treatment.
