Family Connections Workshop
The Family Connections Program is designed specifically for family members (parents, spouses, adult children, and siblings) of someone with severe emotional and behavioural dysregulation or Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).  It also helps those individuals obtain knowledge and develop skills that will be helpful for their own well-being.  The program also helps family members to develop a support network.  Anyone interest, to please contact: Sandra Johnson at 416-535-8501 x4520.  To register for this workshop please fill out the registration form 


NEW! Spiritual and Religious Care Visitor Training
We offer ‘Spiritual and Religious Care Visitor Training’ for clergy/faith-group leaders and lay ministers from various religions/faith-groups to enhance their skills in visiting patients/clients in hospitals and other institutions. The 7 week – 20 hours training will be held on multiple dates from September 9 to October 21, 2009. The course will address topics such as theological foundations for spiritual and religious care in major world religions, an overview of mental illness and addiction, listening skills, boundaries and ethics. Prevention & Management of Aggressive Behaviour for Residents

PMAB of Aggressive Behaviour for Residents training course provides Residents with skills in self-awareness, risk-assessment, de-escalation of self and Clients, an understanding of team roles during a Code White, or other crisis situation, physical self-protection, and in the use of Emergency Pinel restraints.


The TEACH Project
The Training Enhancement in Applied Cessation Counselling and Health (TEACH) Project is designed to ensure that individuals in the public, private and non-profit sectors who provide counselling services to tobacco users obtain knowledge and skill in the delivery of intensive cessation interventions. Our core program offers evidence based knowledge about tobacco use and practical skills in cessation counselling. Our supplementary courses offer counselling approaches for special populations such as aboriginal people, sexually diverse and gender diverse people, youth, people with concurrent disorders, people who use other substances; and pregnant women.
