CAMH Research is part of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the leading mental health and addictions research hospital in Canada. CAMH Research Connect is a site created to connect people interested in joining studies at CAMH with researchers who are seeking study participants.
At CAMH, we have hundreds of studies underway at any given time. We study what causes mental illnesses and addictions, as well as how to better diagnose, prevent and treat them, both in the hospital and in the community. We also conduct research on populations to inform public policy and system-level interventions.
We have three main research pillars or areas of activity:
• The Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute, with a focus on brain science
• Clinical Research
• The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research

More than 120 scientists and hundreds of students, post-doctoral fellows, as well as administrative staff work in research at CAMH. View our scientists' research profiles.
All studies at CAMH are reviewed and approved only if they meet scientific and ethical standards. Studies must be carefully controlled and designed to safeguard participants’ health and privacy.
If you have questions about research standards, you may contact CAMH’s Research Ethics Board.
