CAMH Welcomes Supreme Court Decision
CAMH welcomes the decision today by the Supreme Court of Canada in the case of the Insite Supervised Injection Site in Vancouver,
BC.
CAMH’s position has always been that the evidence about the health and social impacts of Insite should determine this issue,
and the decision recognizes that the evidence supporting Insite is strong. We hope that research into the effectiveness of
Insite as a public health initiative to reduce risk and harms will continue.
