The CAMH Transforming Lives Awards is an important fundraising and awareness event that honours extraordinary people who have overcome the challenges of living with mental illness and/or addiction and who now serve as models of hope and inspiration for others.

On Wednesday, May 26, 2010, for the first time in the 16 years of the event, Transforming Lives Awards will take place at 1001 Queen Street West, bringing the celebration home to CAMH and the heart of the bubbling Queen West neighbourhood.

We believe holding the event on site–next to CAMH’s historic “asylum wall” and equally historic Redevelopment–will be an experiential opportunity for all of our guests.

Each year, nominations are brought forth from across the province and country. Each nomination tells a different, compelling story, which sheds light on mental illness and addiction and helps to eliminate harmful stigma.

Nominations will be accepted from January 4 to February 22, 2010.
