Affiliated organizations and partnerships

CAMH is but one participant within a very large system that works to address the needs of people with mental health and addiction issues and to promote the health of the population. CAMH believes that our collective work is strengthened through partnership and we work collaboratively with groups and organizations in Toronto, throughout Ontario and beyond.

A commitment to working in partnerships is included in the Values and Commitments of the organization, included in our 2009/2012 Strategic Plan.

If you want more information about partnerships at CAMH, or to find out how to explore partnership opportunities with CAMH, please contact Community Relations office.

Why a commitment to partnerships ?

At CAMH we know that we do not work alone. We are part of a complex system of clients. families, advocates and service providers, that affects people in myriad ways. People who require our services often have a variety of needs - from counseling, to jobs, to supportive housing to drop-in centres. Our commitment to partnerships is connected to our holistic view of health - a multi-dimensional approach that recognizes the importance of excellent health care services, as well as friends, family, housing, a job and adequate income to overall well-being.

Our partners are crucial to our success as an organization: We work with other hospitals sharing resources and expertise; we maintain strong links to colleges and universities to continually improve knowledge about health care and provide training to health care professional; we work closely with school board and public health departments to develop education and prevention programs; and we maintain energetic relationships with government, and community-based service providers to ensure a continuum of programs and services and to keep in touch with the newest developments in research, health promotion, and care.
